Sinica Discussion On Innovation in China [PODCAST]

Sinica’s Jeremy Goldkorn and Kaiser Kuo

The Sinica Podcast, a weekly discussion of current affairs in China hosted by Kaiser Kuo and Jeremy Goldkorn, talked about the topic of Chinese innovation last Friday.

Tom Saunders, a researcher and policy analyst at the Nesta think-tank on innovation and co-author of a recent Nesta report titled “China’s Absorptive State: innovation and research in China“, joined this insightful discussion.

Together they tried to answer the question how much innovation in China is genuine and, maybe even more important, what this means for the rest of the world. Topics that are being discussed are for example the distinctly Chinese approach to innovation; business model innovation; indigenous innovation; the influence of Chinese government policy on innovation in China, etc.
